Anonymous

a·non·y·mous Audio pronunciation of "anonymous" ( P ) Pronunciation Key (-nn-ms)
adj.
  1. Having an unknown or unacknowledged name: an anonymous author.
  2. Having an unknown or withheld authorship or agency: an anonymous letter; an anonymous phone call.
  3. Having no distinctive character or recognition factor: “a very great, almost anonymous center of people who just want peace” (Alan Paton).
Look at this anonymous individual! I'm blogging specifically for you. Who are you? Andrea and I are dying to know. (ps: who is alan paton and what does it even mean to have a "recognition factor"? Maybe its just all the Christmas nog I've been enjoying, but that last one just doesn't make sense.)

but if i tell you who i am, than the excitment dies...

and then you'd have to be all like "a moment of silence for the dying of the excitment", and that would put a damper on the holiday season...

That's it. I'm not talking to you anymore. None of my hilarity and wit will you be able to enjoy because of you're own silence. Take that.

judging from the info on anj's blog, you are not alan paton. Thus I dub you "alan paton--but not the real one." Some info on the real Alan from Andrea's blog--

"South African writer, founder and president of the Liberal Party (1953-68), which opposed apartheid and offered a non-racial alternative to government policy."

This is killing us! Give us a real hint

i am not too exciting i promise you - this has gotten a little outta hand.

i went to highschool with andrea and stumbled on her msn space where she links this blog. i merely wanted to say hi...but she won't allow non-bloggers to add random comments. so i stumbled upon here (nice to meet you, challis) and inserted a random message. see? it's a pretty broing story.

alan paton would have been a more exciting persona. instead i am merely a girl with a between-semester break on her hands and occational time to kill...

Interesting. Well, seeing as I honestly don't know you, I am very satisfied with that answer. Andrea, on the other hand, is still deeply curious! We should probably leave her hanging...because it's funny to watch.

Nice to meet you too.
